Is the deposit guarantee safe?

Yes. The R+V rental deposit guarantee is a legally recognized form of rental security in Germany. For your landlord, it provides the same protection as a traditional cash deposit.
The certificate is valid immediately and covers the full deposit amount.

This ensures trust on both sides and makes the move-in process smoother.

A deposit guarantee replaces the cash deposit. R+V covers the agreed deposit amount and issues a certificate that your landlord can use as security.

Yes. It is a legally recognized type of rental security and widely accepted by landlords. In case a landlord rejects the guarantee as a deposit, R+V has 30-day return policy which enables you return the guarantee free of charge.

The landlord submits a claim to R+V. R+V pays valid claims up to the deposit amount and clarifies everything else with you. For valid claims the R+V will charge you the amout of damage or unpaid rents that they paid out to the landlord.

Yes. You can cancel it once your landlord releases the certificate.
